As many as 100 chili trees were given by West Jakarta Administration to residents of RT 11/12. Cengkareng Timur Urban Village, Cengkareng Sub-district. It is hoped the aid will lighten the burden in the middle of high chili price.

Cengkareng Sub-district Head, Mas’ud Efendi, said the aid was is given to attract people planting productive plants in empty land.

Chili to Be Planted on City’s Land in CiangirThere were two types of chili given, curly and cayenne.
RT 11/12 Head, Sudharmawan Yuda, stated the seeds will planted on empty land and will be maintained by local residents.
“Local people are able to take chili during harvest time,” he stated.
